Westfield Malls / Valley Fair
Digital Natives Pop-Up Store Concept
Westfield malls approached Displayit for help developing a fixture collection for their new pop-up retail concept, offering digitally native brands a short-term lease, without the full commitment of a retail store (i.e. lease, store design development, with build-out and fixtures). They needed modern, versatile, modular retail fixtures; pieces that sales associates could easily move, customize with branded graphics, and merchandise for an impactful retail experience, akin to a permanent their own store.
In collaboration with my teammates, we proposed 3 distinct collections of modular floor, wall, and POS fixtures; each defined through material and color stories, but featuring the same modular designs. The intent of the 2 collections, Warm and White/Neutral, were to offer brands a space with plug-and-play “Pop-Up Kit” options that easily blended into the background of their brand’s style and visual language. In this White/Neutral collection, a simple and modern palette using white laminate, birch plywood, and nickel powder coat serves as a minimalist and fresh palette for showcasing the Millennial makeup skincare brand, Glossier.
